Education and On-Site Training

At Westex, we consider safety education and training to be part and parcel of our mission to protect workers. Ultimately, NO fabrics in the world could be effective, if they are not worn when needed, or put on improperly. This is why our Westex experts, with decades of experience and in-depth knowledge, have made FR safety education a top priority.

We have put together an unparalleled library of resources, videos, research, and case studies available for downloads on our websites.Furthermore, our team is on-hand to answer questions and conduct customized on-site training to debunk misconceptions, explain proper FR use, demonstrate hazards, and clarify standards.

So whether you would like to know about workplace hazards like, arc flash, flash fire, and/or molten metal splash, along with regulations in the US(NPFA 70E, NFPA 2112, ASTM F955-07Standard) and Europe (EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 61482) or China (GB8965.1, GB12014), please do not hesitate to reach out to us.  We can explain the hazards, the numerous test methods that are part of these regulations that ensure compliance

Visits of Westex’s Manufacturing Sites and Accredited Third-Party Labs

End-users operating in a hazardous environment should feel assured that their FR garments are manufactured to the highest safety standards. This is why we open our manufacturing sites to end users (associates from Oil & Gas,Petrochemical and manufacturing companies, utilities and others) so that they can witness first-hand our systems and processes in action. They will see for themselves why and how we maintain the state-of-the-art manufacturing and can guarantee the performance of our product. Furthermore, we also suggest they test our fabrics at one of the accredited third-party labs in NorthAmerica and Europe, as part of their overall evaluation process. We want our end-users to know that Westex does not compromise when it comes to safety.

Customised, One-on-one Technical Support

To ensure that our end-users are purchasing the right FR products and using them in an optimal way, we offer comprehensive technical support before, during, and after sales. You will obtain detailed information about the different types of fabrics and the accessories, which include how to wear, which accessory to use and what not to use depending upon the hazard, and how to optimise their usage and ensure compliance; respond in the event of an incident; and take care of them to ensure durability. We can teach you about layering fabrics to achieve the target arc ratings, Ultimately, our aim is to foster long-term relationships with informed customers who can get the best-in-class protection out of our products.
